Youtube Channels I Like to Watch

I already shared some Twitch music streamers I like to watch so this time I thought I would share some great YouTube channels I watch regularly.

I used to subscribe to a lot of channels and watch a lot of Linux content but in the past 2 years I’ve been growing fed up with most of the Linux content out there so I have branched out into other content.

JRPG Jungle It is no secret that I like to play JRPGs but I also watch some JRPG content, and one of my favourite channels for this is JRPG Jungle. I have discovered a fair few lovely games from her and her reviews are always concise and well written. A must for JRPG fans.

Backlog Battle Another gaming-focused channel and one that covers a lot of JRPGs. He covers a lot of other games too but his reviews are always well written and fair, and his videos are very well produced.

Happy Console Gamer This channel has been around for a long time. He has a more conversational style than the super produced style of other channels. He covers a variety of console focused gaming topics from retro gaming to modern RPGs and other games. I like his retrospectives discussing his gaming past.

The Kiseki Nut Another JRPG focused channel, the name will tell you what game series he loves most, one that I am also a little obsessed with…The Legend of Heroes Trails series. Really good reviews, news videos and merchandise showcases are what you can expect on this channel.

Tasting History WIth Max Miller I like food and I like history, and that is what this channel gives me. He unearths recipes from historic recipe books and tries them on video giving a little taster of the history behind the recipe in the process. The videos are always very well researched and he makes a great effort with pronunciation in the languages involved. Plenty of wonderful wonderful puns too which I always value.

The Charismatic Voice A music channel by an opera singer and vocal coach who listens to songs from various genres (a lot of metal) and analyses the performance and technique of the vocalist. If you want to improve your vocal technique or just want to appreciate vocal performances on a whole new level, this is a great channel. She also brings a tremendous level of enthusiasm to the subject matter.

Get Indie Gaming Back to gaming now and it is a channel with a big focus on indie gaming. I have discovered a lot of really interesting indie gems from their listicle videos. They also do reviews that are well written and fair. Always nice to come across a channel championing indie games even though they could gain more of a following covering AAA games.

Wholesome Games From the Wholesome Games website, Wholesome Games is a community that started on Twitter when indie game developer Matthew Taylor began curating games according to their feelings of comfort, compassion, and cosiness. The world is a harsh place and video games can be an escape or they can help us deal with the hardships; these are the games that Wholesome Games want to help promote. Plus I have discovered so many cute games and I love cute games.
